CITY OF ACWORTH POLCIE HEADQUATERS FACILITY

The City of Acworth is in the process of constructing a new police headquarters facility, and TSW was retained to develop schematic drawings for the project. The new facility will be a modern and functional space that will accommodate the administrative functions of the police department, including offices, storage, conference and training rooms, operations area, special operations areas, records division, criminal investigations division, and building systems and circulation. The new building will total approximately 21,000 sq. ft., and it features a preferred “all on one level” floor plan layout, which will make it more efficient and accessible for the police department’s needs.

The building’s exterior is designed to be historically accurate, with an architectural character that builds on the vernacular of historic downtown Acworth. This design approach ensures that the new police headquarters will be in harmony with the surrounding area and will blend seamlessly with the city’s existing architecture.

The site design for the new police headquarters also includes 122 parking spaces, providing ample parking for the department’s employees and visitors. Additionally, the site includes 5,500 sq. ft. of potential future expansion, which allows for the possibility of future growth and expansion for the police department.

In conclusion, TSW developed schematic drawings for the City of Acworth’s new police headquarters facility. The new facility will be a modern and functional space that will accommodate the administrative functions of the police department. The building’s exterior is designed to be historically accurate, blending seamlessly with the city’s existing architecture, and the site design includes ample parking and potential for future expansion. The new police headquarters will be an important asset for the City of Acworth and its residents.
