TSW’s Landscape Architecture Studio, was retained by Columbia Ventures to provide services for the Edgewood/Candler Park Station TOD, which is now known as Spoke (www.spokeatl.com). The project is located south of the Edgewood/Candler Park MARTA Station and includes a multifamily building with a variety of apartment sizes, a performing arts center, a restaurant, a pocket park, and a pedestrian bridge connecting to the MARTA station.
TSW played a crucial role in the development of the project by working closely with Columbia Ventures to create the conceptual design and construction documentation for the site. The firm was responsible for designing the streetscapes, parking areas, resident amenity pool and lifestyle deck, outdoor cafe plaza, and other gathering spaces.
One of the key features of the development is the multifamily building, which will consist of studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments. The building is designed to provide residents with a comfortable and convenient living experience, with amenities such as a pool and lifestyle deck for relaxation and leisure. Additionally, the building will be connected to the MARTA station via a pedestrian bridge, providing easy access to public transportation for residents.
The development will also include a performing arts center, which will provide a venue for community events and performances. The center will be a great addition to the neighborhood and will help to foster a sense of community among residents.
The project also includes a pocket park, which will serve as a green space for residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The park will be a great place for residents to gather and socialize, and will also provide a place for children to play.
Overall, the Edgewood/Candler Park Station TOD is a comprehensive development that will provide a variety of amenities and services for residents. TSW played a critical role in the development of the project by providing landscape architecture services that helped to create a beautiful and functional space for residents to enjoy. The development will be a great addition to the neighborhood and will help to enhance the overall quality of life for residents.
