Description:

TSW was retained to develop the Enota Park Master Plan as part of the Atlanta BeltLine Subarea 1 study. The Master Plan is a long-term vision for the park area that was developed as a result of community input and technical analysis.

The planning and design process began with a site inventory that examined the history, previous planning efforts, existing facilities, access, context, and natural features of the park. A needs analysis was conducted that focused on opportunities and constraints regarding accessibility, visibility, and management. The needs analysis was community-driven, with input from local residents and stakeholders to ensure that the park design reflected local needs and priorities.

Based on the analysis and community input, TSW then developed concept plans that were used to create the final Master Plan. The Master Plan addresses issues that were identified in the analysis, including environmental restoration, safety and security, and access and circulation.

One of the main features of the Enota Park Master Plan is the Entry Plaza and Event Lawn, which is designed to function as one space during organized events. The Event Lawn is 37,550 square feet in size and will support community events with a covered stage at the lower end of the lawn, creating a natural outdoor theater. The Entry Plaza is designed to be a welcoming space for visitors and will include seating areas, landscaping, and other amenities to encourage visitors to stay and enjoy the park.

In addition to the Entry Plaza and Event Lawn, the Master Plan also includes other amenities such as picnic areas, playgrounds, and walking trails. The plan also includes a focus on sustainable design, with an emphasis on preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the park, and promoting healthy living through access to green spaces and recreational opportunities. The Master Plan is expected to be implemented in phases over the next few years and will be continuously reviewed and updated to ensure that it meets the evolving needs of the community.
