LOWENSTEIN BUILDING RENOVATION

Rock Hill, South Carolina

TSW CityofRockHillLowensteinBuilding02 Lowenstein Building Renovation TSW

As part of TSW’s planning process for the City of Rock Hill’s Knowledge Park at Old Town Master Plan, TSW’s Architecture Studio developed schematic designs for the renovation of the existing Filter Plant Building, Power Plant Building, and Lowenstein Building on the Bleachery Site.

The Lowenstein Building is comprised of five floors totaling approximately 220,000 sq. ft. and an additional 100,000+ sq. ft. building that has the potential of being converted into a parking structure. TSW’s design maintains the integrity of the industrial building with its original concrete supports and opens the interior to be more conducive to an office environment.

The City’s goal is to attract employment uses to the Lowenstein Building with the expectation that it will serve as a catalyst for other development activity on the Bleachery site.
