OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY VILLAGE

Atlanta, Georgia
TSW was retained by Oglethorpe University to develop a comprehensive concept for the university campus, with a specific focus on the sale and development of a large parcel of land located northeast of Woodrow Way. The goal of this project, Oglethorpe University Village, was to create a plan that not only enhances the university campus but also benefits the surrounding community.

To achieve this goal, TSW designed a plan that integrates the campus edge with a combination of university and privately owned buildings in a mixed-use development. This approach provides a much-needed vibrant focal point for university and community residents. The mixed-use development includes a variety of residential, commercial, and retail spaces, as well as educational and community facilities. The plan also includes ample green spaces and walkways to encourage social interaction and community engagement.

The proposed development will not only provide a much-needed boost to the university and surrounding community, but it will also create a sustainable and self-sufficient community. The mixed-use development will provide residents with everything they need within walking distance, reducing the need for vehicular transportation and promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.
