Description:

TSW developed a Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) inspired master plan for Treasure Point, an upscale enclave of primary and secondary homes. The community began development in 2003, and TSW’s role included the preparation of a master plan for improvements to the Cerro Gordo National Park and Preserve, a public oceanfront park across the street from Treasure Point. Park improvements and maintenance will be funded by the developer.

The plan organizes living choices into two distinct zones: luxury high-rise condominiums at the northern edge, offering dramatic ocean panorama vistas; and, to the south, a tightly knit layout of single-family homes oriented towards an internal framework of parks and recreational amenities. This master plan for Treasure Point is designed to provide a mix of uses and a vibrant streetscape that would attract a diverse group of residents, visitors, and businesses.

TSW is also providing landscape design services for the community and its common amenities. These public spaces, such as the Treasure Point Club, the geographic and social heart of the community, are the focus of Treasure Point’s distinctive character and community identity. The community amenities and parks were designed to be the heart of the community, and they are expected to foster a sense of community and social interaction among residents. The development is known for its high-end amenities and prime location, and it has become a sought-after destination for both residents and visitors.
