About the Role

TSW is seeking a Business Operations Manager, in our Atlanta office, to support the operations of our growing architecture, planning, and landscape architecture practice. This role will oversee core administrative and financial functions that help our four-office, multi-state firm operate smoothly and efficiently.

The Business Manager will work closely with firm leadership to coordinate financial administration, project billing support, HR administration, compliance, and internal systems. A key responsibility of this role will be improving and streamlining firm operations, identifying opportunities to strengthen workflows, systems, and coordination between offices.

This role will help establish systems that support the firm’s continued growth, including helping structure the operational framework that will support a Billing Administrator position in the near future.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and improve operational workflows across finance, HR, billing, and compliance functions
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and increase efficiency across offices

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for administrative and financial processes

  • Support implementation and administration of internal systems and management tools

Project Financial Support

  • Coordinate new project setup and project closeout
  • Support monthly project billing processes
  • Assist project managers with accounts receivable follow-up and project financial documentation

Human Resources Administration

  • Facilitate employee onboarding and employment documentation
  • Maintain the employee handbook and HR records
  • Coordinate employee benefits administration and related documentation

Compliance & Professional Practice

  • Track business licenses and professional registrations across multiple states
  • Coordinate professional liability insurance documentation and renewals
  • Maintain records related to firm compliance and certifications
