Experience
Daniel has spent the past decade working across both the public and private sectors in planning and community development, gaining a deep appreciation for the vital role local government and public engagement play in shaping healthy, vibrant communities. After earning his master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma Urban Design Studio in 2016, Daniel launched This Machine, a nonprofit bike sharing program in his hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Following the successful rollout of Oklahoma’s first dockless smart bike system, Daniel expanded his work nationally. He contributed to placemaking and tactical urbanism initiatives in cities ranging from Boston to Salt Lake City—using quick build strategies to help communities test new street designs, activate public spaces, and explore temporary public art installations.
Since 2021, Daniel has collaborated with a diverse range of communities—from large metropolitan areas to small rural towns in Colorado and Oklahoma. He brings a distinct perspective informed by his background in fine arts, graphic design, and urban design. This multidisciplinary foundation enables him to support consensus building efforts, communicate complex ideas clearly, and guide thoughtful decision making through compelling visualizations and messaging.
When I’m not at the office, you’ll find me…spending time with my family, riding my bike, cuddling my cat, Toulouse, or hanging out with my dogs, Stevie Licks and Arlo Woofrie.
