Traveling to Rome in 2019 opened my eyes to a built environment designed for people. Initially planning to pursue a Master of Architecture, I shifted to regional and city planning after becoming convinced that the core issue with our built environment lies in urban form - not architecture. As I learned more about zoning codes and their century-long influence on shaping cities, I realized they are a fundamental driver of broken urban form. This understanding drew me to planning, where I hope to contribute to zoning reform that fosters human flourishing.
When I’m not at the office, you’ll find me…outdoors, at church, or in the gym.
