After finishing his education in his home state of Florida, Stephen moved to Michigan as his now fiancée pursued her doctorate. While up north, he worked for an MPO representing smaller rural counties and then for the City of Lansing, Michigan's state capitol. His work experience has touched on zoning and land use planning, community engagement, mapping, and historic preservation.
