Focus: Construction Documentation & Project Implementation

TSW is seeking a Project Manager with 6–10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with a passion for and experience in managing design production for medium to large size public park projects. Successful candidates will have a portfolio that demonstrates a deep understanding of how to develop conceptual ideas into built work as the prime consultant. This full-time position is based in our Atlanta office and offers the opportunity to grow within a collaborative, multidisciplinary studio that integrates planning, architecture, and landscape architecture.
At TSW, our Landscape Architecture Studio, of 15 Landscape Architects and designers, leads diverse projects with an emphasis on context-sensitive, sustainable design. Our work spans the public and private sectors across the southeastern U.S., with projects including signature parks and downtown greenspaces, parks + rec., multi-use trails, mixed-use and multifamily developments, hospitality, streetscapes, civic spaces, and environmental graphics.
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and producing design documentation from schematic design through construction administration. You’ll work closely with principals, senior project managers, and staff, contributing technical expertise, design thinking, and project coordination on a variety of complex projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to move into a leadership role while remaining closely engaged in design documentation and technical detailing.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Guide the production of projects with $5-10M construction budgets through the full design process from conceptual design to construction implementation, in collaboration with senior staff and with support of the wide knowledge base of firm resources.
Lead and support production of construction drawings, grading and planting plans, and permit documents.
Manage internal team workflow and coordination with subconsultants and clients to design custom and innovative solutions that solve complex problems.
Contribute to design solutions that incorporate integrated stormwater management, sustainability, and constructability.
Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, site visits, and coordination with contractors.
Project financials and production budget management.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
6–10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with a minimum of 5 years of experience preparing construction documentation packages and performing construction administration tasks.
A passion for the built environment and how pieces come together. Can develop conceptual ideas into buildable plans, focusing on construction problem solving, diligence, and design detailing.
Interest and ability to think critically, creatively solve complex problems, and take initiative in a team environment.
Fosters a collaborative mindset with the ability to work with a team and serve as a mentor to staff-level employees.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Has a strong skillset in grading, universal accessibility, and integrated stormwater management. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Proven ability to balance multiple project timelines and manage shifting priorities.
Experience working on public design bid / build projects.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
