Blue Ridge, GA – March 7, 2025 – TSW proudly joined community leaders, local officials, project partners, and residents in Blue Ridge last Friday to celebrate a major milestone: the groundbreaking of the long-anticipated Fannin County Public Library.

This event marked the official start of construction on a civic project that has been more than two decades in the making, reflecting the dedication and persistence of the Fannin County community and the City of Blue Ridge to bring this vision to life.

Representing TSW at the event were Heather Hubble, Lauren McKechnie, and Laura Richter, from TSW's architecture studio, underscoring the firm’s strong commitment to supporting public institutions and meaningful community projects. The new library is being constructed under the leadership of Albion Construction, which is serving as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the project.

TSW’s Multi-Disciplinary Contribution

TSW’s role in the development of the library is multi-disciplinary, engaging team members across the firm. The landscape architecture studio, led by Peyton Peterson, Eloisa De Leon, and Rajith Kedarisetty, has been instrumental in shaping the vision for the site. Their focus centers on creating a welcoming, accessible, and environmentally responsive outdoor setting that enhances the user experience while blending seamlessly with the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge region.

A New Civic Landmark for the Community

The Fannin County Public Library is set to become a critical hub for education, cultural engagement, and community events. With construction now underway, the library is poised to evolve into a landmark civic space that meets the diverse and evolving needs of Fannin County residents for generations to come.

“TSW is honored to contribute to this significant community effort,” said the firm in a statement. “We look forward to seeing the Fannin County Public Library take shape as a vital and enduring public resource.”
