Fannin County Public Library in Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge, GA – [March 7th, 2025] – TSW proudly joined community leaders, local officials, project partners, and residents in Blue Ridge last Friday to celebrate a major milestone: the groundbreaking of the long-anticipated Fannin County Public Library. This event marks the official start of construction on a civic project that has been over twenty years in the making, reflecting the dedication and persistence of the Fannin County community and the City of Blue Ridge to bring this vision to life.
Representing TSW at the event were Heather Hubble, Lauren McKechnie, and Laura Richter, whose presence highlighted the firm’s strong commitment to supporting public institutions and meaningful community projects. The new library is being constructed under the leadership of Albion Construction, which is serving as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the project.
TSW’s role in the development of the library is multi-disciplinary, drawing on the talents of team members across the firm. The landscape architecture studio, led by Peyton Peterson, Eloisa De Leon, and Rajith Kedarisetty, has been instrumental in shaping the vision for the site, focusing on creating a welcoming, accessible, and environmentally responsive outdoor setting that enhances the user experience and integrates with the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
The Fannin County Public Library will serve as a critical hub for education, community events, and cultural engagement in the region. With construction officially underway this week, the project is poised to become a landmark civic space that meets the evolving needs of Fannin County residents for generations to come.
TSW is honored to be part of this significant effort and looks forward to seeing the Fannin County Public Library take shape as a vital and enduring public resource.
