CARIBBEAN JEWEL

St. Lucia, West Indies
TSW was approached in 2005 to provide a master plan for the Caribbean Jewel property in Rodney Bay, a breathtaking site characterized by a steep hillside dotted with dense natural vegetation. Recognizing the unique topography and ecosystem of the property, TSW approached the project with a site-sensitive plan that would preserve the existing tree canopy while still offering views to all units.

The master plan included the creation of a series of terraces that would be linked vertically to the beach club facility via a cascading stair and water course. To minimize vehicular circulation and protect the environment, TSW also proposed the addition of a tram line.

The development program for Caribbean Jewel was extensive, including a variety of unit types ranging from beach cottages to attached condominiums to hillside villas. With a focus on sustainability and environmental preservation, TSW incorporated green construction methods into their designs and planned for the potential future addition of a marina.

With its commitment to preserving the natural beauty of the property and its expertise in master planning, TSW was able to deliver a comprehensive plan for the Caribbean Jewel property that would enhance the existing landscape while meeting the needs of the development program. The result was a stunning and sustainable community that would be a desirable destination for years to come.
