TSW was retained by Morgan County to lead a multidisciplinary team in the design and construction oversight of a new Community and Recreation Center, along with major enhancements to the existing athletic complex. This project represents a significant investment in recreational infrastructure for the county, aimed at serving residents of all ages and abilities while strengthening the role of the park as a hub for community activity, health, and wellness.

The new 40,000-square-foot community center is designed to be a flexible and dynamic indoor facility. It will feature six basketball courts that can be adapted for multiple uses, including pickleball and volleyball. A gymnasium, indoor walking track, and a spacious second-floor balcony suitable for community events, tournaments, and gatherings are also included in the design. The building will serve not only as a recreation facility but also as a venue for public programs and civic engagement.

The outdoor improvements include five new multipurpose sports fields designed to accommodate baseball, softball, soccer, and other athletic programming. One of these fields is a custom-designed inclusive field tailored for children and adults with special needs, promoting accessibility and universal participation in sports. These fields are integrated into a broader park setting that features new walking trails, open greenspaces, and supporting infrastructure to enhance the user experience.

TSW’s comprehensive planning and design approach ensures that the new facilities are context-sensitive, cost-effective, and aligned with the long-term goals of Morgan County.
