Description:

TSW’s Landscape Architecture Studio collaborated with Gensler on Monday Night Brewing’s newest tasting room, The Grove, to design an inviting outdoor biergarten-style space as part of an adaptive reuse project at their original location. Built around the transformation of an old warehouse shed into a new tasting room, the site sits directly adjacent to the newest segment of the Atlanta Beltline, offering high visibility and easy pedestrian access.

Tucked into the site’s existing topography, the landscape design focused on preserving mature trees and utilizing low-impact stormwater management strategies to minimize environmental disruption. The result is a series of terraced outdoor spaces that make the most of the natural shade while maximizing usable area for guests.

Key features include multiple fire pit patios, a flexible turf zone ideal for casual play or relaxation under the trees, and a large open area designed for communal tables. One of the terraces was designed with versatility in mind – it doubles as a bandstand for live music on high-traffic nights, helping activate the space and create a vibrant social atmosphere.

Through thoughtful grading, planting, and programming, the outdoor environment at The Grove extends the brewery experience beyond the tasting room and into a dynamic, community-friendly destination.
