Free Lecture Series at Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech’s School of Architecture and TSW, an Atlanta-based planning, architecture, and landscape architecture firm, have announced that Kofi Boone, FASLA, a renowned professor of Landscape Architecture at NC State University, will be the 2022 speaker at the TSW Lecture Series on Urban Design. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. and will be held in-person at the Reinsch-Pierce Auditorium at the Georgia Tech School of Architecture, 245 Fourth St., Atlanta. The program will also be streamed live on Instagram (@ gtarchitecture), and all formats are free and open to the public.

Professor Boone is a distinguished Joseph D. Moore Professor and University Faculty Scholar at NC State University. He hails from Detroit, Michigan and is renowned for his award-winning work that intersects landscape architecture and environmental justice, with a particular focus on democratic design and interpreting cultural landscapes. Beyond his academic work, Professor Boone serves on the boards of The Corps Network, The Black Landscape Architects Network, and The Black Land Loss Prevention Project, and is President of the Landscape Architecture Foundation.

This year’s TSW Lecture Series on Urban Design is expected to draw professionals, students, and enthusiasts of landscape architecture and urban design from across the country.
