TSW’s participation in UGA’s Georgia Students of Landscape Architecture Shadow Week was an incredible opportunity for both the students and the firm. TSW was thrilled to host the seven students and introduce them to the world of landscape architecture and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The firm’s culture and areas of expertise were front and center during the event. The students were able to learn about TSW’s approach to design and the importance of collaboration across studios. They were also able to engage in one-on-one discussions with designers from the Landscape Architecture Studio, allowing them to ask questions and gain insight into the industry.
TSW’s commitment to sustainability was also on display during the event. The students were able to learn about the firm’s USGBC SITES Accredited Professional (U.S. Green Building Council) and LEED Building Construction and Design certifications. They were able to witness firsthand TSW’s dedication to creating sustainable and environmentally conscious designs.
The students were impressed with TSW’s expertise in a variety of projects, including hotels, mixed-use developments, main streets, campuses, parks and recreation facilities, coastal resorts, and multifamily projects. The firm’s experience and knowledge in these areas made a lasting impression on the students, inspiring them to pursue their passions in design.
Events like the Georgia Students of Landscape Architecture Shadow Week are important for the industry and the next generation of professionals. TSW believes that by sharing their expertise and passion for design, they can inspire and encourage the next generation to make meaningful contributions to the built environment.
TSW looks forward to continuing their involvement in events like these and hopes to inspire more students to pursue their dreams in the world of landscape architecture and design.
