The Beacon Station Apartments, located in historic Augusta, GA near the Medical District in the Laney Walker / Bethlehem Neighborhood, will transform more than 7 acres of vacant industrial land into 221 high-end apartment units. These units are divided into 6 apartment buildings with more than 7,000 square feet of amenity space. The amenities will include a resort-style pool, outdoor kitchen, BBQ area, and club and fitness rooms, with a yoga studio and dog park. The building design is a mixture of garden style walk up apartments and a large double-loaded corridor residential building with a contemporary urban aesthetic. All buildings create a pedestrian friendly streetscape with parking hidden to the back for the buildings. The unit designs have been modified to fill in the breezeways on the street side creating a U-shape breezeway to the back of the building. The construction is primarily wood framing. Balcony styles include Juliette and catwalk designs.
